Jabalbina is seeking an experienced cultural tour guide to lead tours that showcase our rainforest restoration work. The position will provide visitors with an engaging and educational experience that highlights the importance of cultural and environmental restoration on Eastern Kuku Yalanji Country.
The role will also work closely with Jabalbina's rainforest restoration team to gain practical, hands-on knowledge about restoration practices, including tree species identification and planting methods. This knowledge will be shared with other tour guides to build cultural and ecological knowledge across the team.
The position will manage the tourism cultural mentoring program with Elders and tourism staff with support of the tourism team including Manager Tourism and Marketing, Operations Manager and Tourism facilitator. This will include collaborating with the Language Officer and language program to support embedding language in the tourism program and restoration program.
