About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Manager to support the General Manager with day‑to‑day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have agency experience or an understanding of a fast‑paced, project‑based world. You will manage payroll, reconcile expenses, handle AR/AP, and assist with financial compliance, including BAS, PAYG, and EOFY reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage all ATO compliance, including Quarterly BAS, Monthly PAYG, Superannuation, and EOFY reporting.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Manage credit card statements and daily reconciliations.
- Process monthly payroll for 16 employees and contractors.
- Reconcile events budgets and oversee the overheads budget.
- Work with Xero Accounting Software and support the accountant with financial records and reporting.
- Assist the General Manager with financial administration as required.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting, ideally gained within an agency workplace.
- Proficiency in Xero Accounting Software is essential.
- Social and positive personality that thrives in a creative, collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Positive, friendly, energetic, and efficient approach to work, making you an integral part of the agency’s dynamic team.
Compensation
- $90,000 – $100,000 + Super, DOE
Please note, this is an office‑based role – 5 days in Surry Hills.
