**About the role**
**Main Responsibilities**
- Concept development and investigation of prototypes, products and manufacturing processes
- Develop suitable test methods for various prototypes and materials
- Undertake small-scale and full-scale tests (indoor and outdoor) on materials and products including sample preparations, test setup, perform tests and samples disposal
- Document and preliminary analysis of the obtained results
- Conduct procedures safely and ensure all equipment is kept in good condition for testing
- Handling and working with chemicals in line with the company procedures and relevant standards
- Assisting with preparation, review and update of Standard Operation Procedures for testing
- General laboratory housekeeping
**About You**
To be successful in this role you need:
- Ability to read and interpret test standards and methodologies
- Hands on experience when it comes to modifying and fabricating simple test fixtures
- High attention to detail with a practical mindset
- Strong time management skills
- Friendly and positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
- Experience using a variety of software packages, including laboratory test software
- Commitment to safe work practices
**Essential Requirements**
- Understand polymers and FRP products (preferable)
- Must have a C Class Drivers Licence
- Forklift licence - or willing / capable to obtain
