About the Role

As MDA continue to provide a high level of service to our clients, we are now seeking the experience of a dedicated Project Manager responsible for the safe, profitable and compliant execution of Master Drilling Australia's raise bore drilling projects in Australia.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will play a pivotal role in providing operational leadership, financial control, commercial oversight, and strategic contribution to ensure that projects are delivered: Safely, On Time, Within Budget and in accordance with contractual obligations, and Master Drillings business objectives.

This role would allow you to be accountable for both operational performance and financial outcomes of assigned projects and contribute to the broader Australian strategy.

Please note: This role is a permanent rotational roster 14:14 Day Shift Only

Key Accountabilities

* Lead, mentor and develop Site Supervisors and operational teams, fostering a high performance, and accountable culture for Master Drilling Australia
* Ensure compliance with Australian Mining Act and Regulations and ISO and OHSE standards whilst closely working with Safety on risk assessments for all critical drilling activities
* Plan and execute raise bore drilling projects in accordance with scope and schedule ensuring drilling fleet utilisation meets or exceeds business plan targets
* Monitor and optimise penetration rates, equipment availability and maintenance compliance
* Ensure a high-quality project is delivered aligned with client expectations
* Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, whilst monitoring revenue, expenditure and capital spend
* Identify and manage scope variations and commercial risk to MDA
* Support contractual negotiation and limit contractual risk exposure
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
* Maintain project risk register and implement mitigation strategies aligned with Group risk framework
* Ensure all reporting has integrity and complies with accounting and governance requirements
* Plan and co-ordinate in communications with Supply and Logistics team on the safe execution of inventory, and workforce requirements

About You

* Diploma of Project Management (BSBS50820) or equivalent
* Minimum 5–8 years practical experience in mining project management
* Demonstrated experience managing raise bore or underground drilling projects
* Proven P&L and budget accountability
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills when negotiating and managing client contracts
* Engineering qualification (Mining, Mechanical or related discipline) - Desirable
* Strong commercial and financial acumen

Additional Requirements

* Current Manual C Class WA Driver's Licence
* Unrestricted rights to work in Australia
* Ability to successfully complete Pre-Employment Medical including drug and alcohol
* Must be able to provide a valid National Police Clearance (less than 6months old)
