**About the Company**
Our NSW State Government client is responsible for leading the whole-of-government disaster and emergency efforts from prevention right through to recovery
**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a Project Officer with governance and secretariat experience to join their team in either Lismore OR Newcastle, with some flexibility to work a few days remotely from home per week. This is an estimated 3-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend. Working within the Corporate Services Business Unit, you will be required to provide a wide range of project, administration, business and secretariat support to achieve program objectives.
**Responsibilities**
- End to end project coordination
- Track, monitor and report on project scope, plans, status updates, milestones, budgets and deliverables
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, seminars, conferences and committees
- Coordination of catering, equipment and overall presentation
- Preparation of high level project documentation including action items, agenda's, briefs, correspondence, minutes, presentation material and reports
- Source and compile information to support informed decision making outcomes
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends, issues, mitigating risks
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships facilitating collaboration, cohesion, consultation, partnerships and contribution of idea's
**About You**
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Proactive with the ability to work independently and part of a team
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite, EDMS and TRIM
**Requirements**:
- Demonstrated Project, Program, Business or Administration support experience
- Proven secretariat experience
- Emergency, Disaster Response or Public Sector experience highly advantageous
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Reliable remote internet access
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
