Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Night Shift)
Location: Northampton – NN5/NN4
Pay rate: £12.89 / Monday Friday
Shift: 8PM – 5 AM / 6PM – 3AM/ 22PM-7AM

Role Overview
We are hiring for a Warehouse Operative to undertake general warehouse duties in Northampton. This is a friendly warehouse team that handles a high volume of customer orders and you will be an important part of this team helping to make sure that orders will be completed on time.
Our client, a well-established goods distributor, seeks Warehouse Operatives on a temporary basis with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
* You will be working as part of a team and will be responsible for:
* Handling and lifting heavy boxes and bulky items.
* Carrying out a significant amount of manual handling.
* Stacking and wrapping pallets.
* Sorting parcels and organising items efficiently.
* Unloading trailers and ensuring items are stored correctly.
* Adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
* Cleaning and tidying the workspace as required to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable but not essential
* Ability to carry out manual handling and physically demanding tasks
* Good attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and packing
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
* Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic
* Ability to always follow health and safety procedures
* Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends when required
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels and completing paperwork
* Forklift licence (FLT) is an advantage but not required as training may be provided
