Fixed term Part time ( 0.6) FTE until 01 Mar 2027 About the Role The Department of Education is looking for a highly skilled practitioner to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) team in Central Highlands Area in supporting schools to address the barriers to learning that impact on student(s) progress to achieving their educational goals and development potential. We invite all the following disciplines to apply: Psychologists, Social Workers, or Occupational Therapists to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) team in Central Highlands Area. The Student Support Services Branch operates from the Ballarat office and includes schools from Trentham to Ararat and Waubra to Willaura, Linton, Bannockburn to Bacchus Marsh. The Student Support Services Practitioners function as a multi-disciplinary health, wellbeing, and inclusion team which comprises psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and social workers. Desirable Qualifications and Experience Required: Psychologist: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology; full Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).Occupational Therapist: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy; registration as an occupational therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Social Worker: A graduate or post-graduate degree in social work or equivalent; eligibility for membership of the Australia Association of Social Workers Candidates must possess a current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check.
