International Office
The International Office drives ECU's internationalisation agenda and global partnerships. Within this portfolio, the International Business Operations (IBO) team leads international recruitment strategy, manages key commercial relationships, and drives sustainable growth in student enrolments.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a results-oriented individual with a strong track record in building and managing international partnerships. The ideal candidate will bring commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and a solution-focused mindset, with the ability to influence outcomes through creative and strategic thinking.
This fixed-term opportunity will lead ECU's recruitment and partnership activities for Sub-Saharan Africa and Bhutan, ensuring continuity of delivery and strong engagement across these key regions.
Reporting to the Manager, International Operations and working closely with stakeholders across ECU, your responsibilities will include:
International Market Strategy – Execute the existing regional plans for Sub-Saharan Africa and Bhutan, ensuring all activities and investment priorities are delivered effectively to support enrolment and revenue goals.
Conversion Optimisation – Implement established pipeline and conversion strategies to drive results across the funnel.
Education Agent Performance Management – Maintain and monitor a high-performing and risk-managed agent network through ongoing engagement and performance reviews.
Growth Enablement – Utilise ECU's digital tools and platforms to support business partner engagement and maximise outcomes.
Team Leadership – Provide guidance and support to the regional in-market team, ensuring ECU maintains strong visibility, responsiveness, and competitive positioning.
This is a key role within ECU's global recruitment strategy and offers the opportunity to contribute to international growth in a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
About you
Please submit a written statement (max 2 pages) addressing the following key criteria, with clear examples of how you have demonstrated these capabilities in your current role:
Strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate activities, and ensure timely follow-through in a complex environment.
People leadership and team support
Experience leading, guiding or mentoring staff, fostering collaboration, and maintaining high standards of service and accountability.
High-level communication and stakeholder engagement
Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally, build relationships, and manage sensitive or complex matters with confidence.
Note: As this is an internal fixed-term opportunity to cover parental leave, an interview may not be held. The selection decision may be based solely on the written response to the above criteria, in line with ECU's recruitment guidelines.
