Overview
Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – SALHN Disaster Resilience Unit. Salary $102,171.00 - $108,071.00 p.a. (Pro Rata) ASO6 | Full Time – Ongoing.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that service provision and the unit's activities are person and family centred and professionally conducted.
* Manage human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed unit and strategic plans.
* Oversee and coordinate the operational delivery of security, fire life safety and emergency response for the site, monitoring effectiveness and ensuring compliance with performance outcomes.
* Recommend and develop strategies to minimize or eliminate potential risks in relation to fire safety, security and emergency response.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security, emergency response and fire life safety activities, recommending and implementing strategies for improvement.
* Assist with development of major procedural matters, providing consultation advice.
* Develop and conduct a wide range of standardized education programmes and training packages for all staff, contractors, students and volunteers relating to fire life safety and emergency response management, including orientation sessions.
Qualifications
* TAE 40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or evidence of commencing Certificate IV in Training and Assessment within the first 12 months of employment.
* Diploma or higher education qualification relevant to Education and Training and Fire Life Safety.
* Diploma or Certification IV in Leadership and Management.
* Extensive experience in managing complex and critical health disaster resilience strategies to meet organisational performance outcomes in a dynamic environment with competing needs and priorities.
* Proven ability to direct and lead teams under pressure, including participation and leadership in incident response.
* Willingness and ability to evolve and adapt to change and upheaval.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively to develop, implement, monitor and review policies and procedures.
* Awareness of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
