Senior UX Researcher — AI-Powered Video Experiences
Our client is building the future of AI-powered video creation and editing tools—and we’re looking for an experienced Senior UX Researcher to help shape that vision.
In this role, you’ll lead end-to-end research that informs how people create, edit, and experience video in new multimodal ways, partnering closely with design, product, engineering, and applied science teams.
You’ll bring clarity to ambiguous spaces, uncover user needs across emerging AI capabilities, and translate insights into direction that drives meaningful product decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute research studies across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches to understand how people create, edit, and consume video.
- Synthesize data across multiple sources —interviews, surveys, telemetry, diary studies, past work to identify opportunities and measure the impact of product and AI improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, language/AI engineers, and applied scientists to shape both product design and model evaluation.
- Communicate findings clearly and persuasively, crafting compelling narratives that influence strategy, prioritization, and experimentation.
- Champion research literacy across teams, offering guidance, facilitating learning, and creating space for shared iteration and reflection.
Who You Are
- 7+ years of experience in UX research, design research, or a related field (nontraditional paths welcome).
- Skilled in framing ambiguous problems, choosing appropriate mixed methods, and driving end-to-end research independently.
- Strong communicator who can turn complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Curious about AI, multimodal experiences, and new creative workflows (prior AI experience is a plus, not a requirement).
- Someone who thrives in collaborative, inclusive environments—comfortable sharing early ideas, seeking feedback, and adjusting direction when needed.
- Passionate about building tools that make video creation accessible and empowering for everyone.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
- Mixed-Methods UXR (6+ years): Interviews, surveys, diary studies, concept testing, evaluative research, and basic statistical analysis.
- Autonomous End-to-End Research (6+ years): Ability to scope, plan, execute, and synthesize research in rapid-moving product environments with high ambiguity.
- Storytelling for Influence (5+ years): Ability to craft compelling, actionable narratives that shape product direction and AI evaluation.
