We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to drive our most ambitious projects from initial concept to successful launch.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for:
* Scoping large, complex projects, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and establishing a comprehensive risk register to guide mitigation strategies
* Leading project staffing by ensuring the right team members are assigned at the right time to limit inefficiencies and facilitate smooth handoffs
* Analyzing data and team velocity to accurately forecast impacts on the broader project roadmap and critical delivery milestones
* Actively driving milestone planning activities with key stakeholders and taking accountability for a healthy, well-refined project backlog that reflects current strategy
* Assuming overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards with minimal oversight
* Establishing and nurturing healthy, trusting relationships among all internal stakeholders and the development team to ensure strategic alignment and collaboration
* Directly managing team members, championing a culture of regular feedback through retrospectives, 1:1s, and surveys
* Proactively identifying opportunities for team member growth and partnering with discipline leads to create clear pathways for learning and development
* Delivering detailed reports that capture the status, overall health, and progress of the project for key stakeholders and leadership
* Reporting on final project outcomes and key learnings to leadership, ensuring insights contribute to organization-wide best practices
Requirements
* Proven experience managing large-scale projects with a strong track record of successful deliveries
* Skilled in project scope management, identifying and addressing risks, issues, and dependencies
* Deep understanding of game development pipelines, target platforms, and game engines
* Proficiency in staffing projects, ensuring efficient team allocation and seamless handoffs
* Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and forecasting its impact on roadmaps and milestones
* Strong risk management skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks while maintaining a risk register
* Ability to drive milestone planning activities and coordinate with key team members
* Excellent relationship-building skills to foster trust among stakeholders and development teams
* Proficiency in delivering detailed reports on project status and health for key stakeholders
* Experience managing and mentoring team members, incorporating structured feedback through retrospectives, 1:1 meetings, and surveys
