Apprentice Cake and Pastry Job Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Apprentice Cake and Pastry. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in food preparation and service, while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and bring quality to cake products
* Maintain refrigerators – keep clean, organized and products dated
* Communicate with chefs regarding stock levels
* Complete required coursework for Apprentice Chef certification
* Provide regular input on menu items and specials
Requirements
* Passion for food creation and presentation
* Good mathematical skills for inventory management
* Clear writing skills for recipes, notes, and record keeping
* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
* Interest in local produce and current trends in cakes and savory items
As an Apprentice Chef, you will be required to work weekdays or weekends, Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm and some Saturdays 7am to 1pm. You must maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times and adhere to company policies and procedures.
