Your new company

HAYS has partnered with one of Australia's leading manufacturers of high-quality, eco-friendly and efficient engines and drive systems who also supply globally. They partner with well-known names such as Volvo, Linde, Vermeer, Hitachi and more. Our client has secured a new location with a BRAND-NEW facility in Wacol, Brisbane QLD, and they are looking for a Field Service Support member to join their team and will be a part of their growing facility and community in Wacol.

Your new role

We are seeking a dedicated & reliable Field Service Support member to join a new facility in Wacol where you will have the opportunity to grow with the business. The suitable candidate will assist with various tasks in manufacturing, maintenance, repairs and ensuring a quality service. You will be responsible for the duties, including but not limited to:

- Deliver technical support for diesel engines and Daimler products to both customers and internal teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve engine faults on-site, via phone or email
- Identify and fix faults in engine systems
- Assemble Powerpack engines and transmissions based on customer's requests
- Perform hands-on diagnostics and modifications on business-branded diesel engines
- Support your new company with technical recommendations and product adjustments
- Collaborate effectively and build good working relationships and ensure to assist others when required.

What you'll need to succeed

- Relevant trade qualification in engineering, diesel fitter or vehicle mechanic
- Strong knowledge of both diesel and gas engines and ability to deliver product and industry support
- Previous experience with multiple engine brands and diagnostic systems
- Previous experience in a similar role with workshop and/or field service
- Able to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Great communication skills and collaborating with others
- High organisational skills and time management to prioritise tasks for efficient outcomes
- Self-motivated and willing to motivate others as a part of a team
- Ability to carry out your duties and responsibilities in both a workshop and an on-site environment
