An excellent opportunity is available for a dual-trained Staff Specialist in General Medicine and Infectious Diseases to join a modern regional health service within the Hunter New England network. This position offers a balanced split across General Medicine (0.5 FTE) and Infectious Diseases (0.5 FTE), providing both breadth and subspecialty depth within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide contemporary, evidence-based specialist care across Acute inpatient General Medicine and Infectious Diseases consultation and management.
* Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
* Engage in clinical governance and quality improvement.
* Teach and supervise junior medical staff.
* Contribute to service development within a progressive regional health network.

Essential Requirements
* FRACP with Specialist Registration.
* Dual Fellowship in General Medicine and Infectious Diseases OR be due to attain Fellowship within the next 6 months in both specialties.
* Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
