What you will doas the General Manager - New Markets andInnovation:
* Lead theconsideration of complex policy and regulatory matters as theenergy system transitions to net zero and new technologies andcommercial models challenge traditional assumptions about theroles of electricity networks and contestablemarkets.
* Drive innovation tosupport accelerated access to, and deployment and orchestrationof distributed energy resources.
* Maximise the impactof regulatory sandboxes by facilitating trials and sharing andapplying lessons learned to promote innovation.
* Lead regulatoryassessments of ring-fencing waivers and maintain thering-fencing guidelines.
* Demonstratedexperience developing and implementing innovativereforms.
* Knowledge or theability to quickly acquire knowledge of the Australianelectricity and gas markets; the role, purpose and objectivesof the AER and the complex political and stakeholderenvironment within which the AER operates.
* Tertiaryqualifications in law, economics / commerce, public policy orrelated field is highly desirable.
