We seek an experienced Patient Services Officer to join our team at the Wembley Oncology clinic. As a client-facing role, you will provide administrative support while maintaining professionalism, care, and friendliness in a dynamic environment.
This full-time opportunity is available for six months, working Monday to Friday, to support our vibrant team dedicated to customer service and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
* Efficiently manage a fast-paced administrative role with customer focus as top priority.
* Act as the first point of contact for patients and deliver excellent customer service face-to-face and over the phone.
* Adapt to and manage change and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Book and confirm appointments and consultations.
* Billing and Receipting at appointment time.
* Accurately process relevant paperwork, including data entry.
* Ensure smooth clinic operations.
* Continuously liaise with the team for efficient processes.
* Manage patient records and filing of patient notes.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient care and customer service.
* Strong organisation and communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven experience working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare funding mechanisms is highly valued.
* Exceptional phone manner and high-volume patient inquiry handling.
* High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Flexible approach to work and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
