The Team:
The Specialist Palliative Care Service provides consultative, multidisciplinary support to patients, carers, and clinicians across both community and inpatient settings in North West Tasmania. As part of a small, dedicated team, you’ll contribute to delivering best-practice care that prioritises dignity, comfort, and individual choice.

The Role:
- As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work with the team in supporting home visits to patients and their families, assessing conditions and needs for supports and reporting back to the specialist team.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team, you will ensure timely response to requests for support and assess response to interventions.
- This role requires excellent communication and documentation skills to thrive.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from 2 February 2026. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
