Key Responsibilities:
Lead the centre in line with the organisation’s philosophy and EYLF/NQS standards.
Manage daily operations, staffing, and compliance requirements.
Mentor and support educators, including 2IC and educational leaders.
Drive family engagement and community partnerships.
Oversee financial performance and operational KPIs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including quality documentation and assessment preparation.
Leadership and team management experience.
Knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standard requirements.
Ability to lead change and improve centre performance.
Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
Operational and financial acumen.
Hold a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Teaching or Studying
Current Working with Children Check NSW
First Aid/CPR/Asthma/Anaphylaxis Certificates

Primary Purpose of the Role
The Centre Manager / Nominated Supervisor leads the centre to deliver high-quality early childhood education, ensuring compliance with EYLF and NQS standards, driving operational excellence, and fostering staff and family engagement. The role is responsible for building capability, mentoring educators, and supporting the growth of the centre as a professional, innovative, and sustainable service.
Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including 2ICs and educational leaders.
Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative culture.
Model best practice in pedagogy, child safety, and compliance.
Operational & Compliance Management
Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, and National Quality Standards.
Oversee staffing, rosters, budgets, and operational KPIs.
Manage continuous improvement initiatives, quality assessment, and reporting.
Strategic & Growth Focus
Support centre growth and innovation, including new programs, training initiatives, and technology adoption.
Drive family engagement, community partnerships, and the centre’s reputation.
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and revenue streams.
Build strong relationships with staff, families, and the wider community.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Lead meetings, briefings, and reporting for stakeholders and directors.
