About the Role:
Are you looking to step into a frontline leadership role where safety, teamwork, and operational excellence are at the heart of everything you do? CSBP is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Despatch Group Leader to join our Fertilisers Operations team in Esperance.
This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on leadership within a busy operational environment, supporting the day-to-day activities of the Fertiliser Despatch team while ensuring contractors and team members are working safely, efficiently, and to high standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead by example and foster a strong safety culture within Despatch and Fertiliser Operations.
- Support safe, efficient, and timely despatch operations, ensuring customer service requirements are consistently met.
- Manage and coordinate contractors to ensure compliance with CSBP standards.
- Assist with planning, operational procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Coach and support team members in developing operational skills and knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and government agencies to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A strong safety focus and commitment to safe work practices.
- Experience in process plant operations, oil and gas, mineral processing, heavy industry, or similar environments is highly regarded, but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to supervise contractors and support team development.
- Operational planning and continuous improvement mindset.
- Good computer literacy (MS Excel essential, Power BI desirable).
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and leadership skills.
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management (preferred but not essential).
