        Overview
This consultancy has grown steadily to around 30 staff across ecology, planning and geospatial services. They’re delivering projects that most mid-tiers would envy: from major renewables and pipelines through to residential developments, community spaces and Olympic stadiums.
The ecology team (10 solid) has a bottle-neck at the reporting end. With a solid flow of field data coming in, the need is for a Senior who can cast a critical eye over reports, ensure outputs are accurate and fit-for-purpose, and help keep delivery moving smoothly.
This is a great move if you’re looking to step back from the field, focus on technical delivery, and grow into the management side of ecology consulting.
The Role
- Review and finalise ecological field reports, ensuring high-quality outputs
- Project manage ecological components within larger approvals packages
- Deliver ecological inputs for Impact Assessments, DAs and monitoring projects
- Liaise with clients and regulators to support smooth project delivery
- Mentor juniors on reporting standards and ecological assessment methods
- Support the technical lead and help shape delivery processes
What You’ll Bring
- 4–8 years ecological consulting experience (flora/fauna)
- Strong technical reporting and project delivery skills
- Ability to liaise with clients and regulators confidently
- A collaborative mindset - someone who values culture as much as output
