Job Description

The Academic Support Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of academic processes and supports students, student experience and teaching staff. This position is responsible for coordinating academic administration, maintaining accurate student records, and facilitating communication between academic teams, student experience team, sessional staff, and CSU Schools. The coordinator assists in upholding academic integrity, ensuring compliance with institutional procedures, and contributing to an efficient and well supported learning environment.

Key Objectives:

* Provide high quality academic administrative and operational support to academic teams, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant academic processes.
* Maintain up to date and reliable student study plans, academic records enabling effective monitoring of academic progress each semester.
* Support sessional teaching staff by managing and lodging Academic Misconduct cases on their behalf and ensuring adherence to academic policies.
* Strengthen collaboration and communication between CSU Schools, academic staff, Student experience and sessional teaching teams to support effective teaching delivery for consistent student outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage and lodge all Academic Misconduct cases on behalf of sessional teaching staff, ensuring compliance with CSU policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date student study plans and academic records, coordinating updates with the Academic Team each semester.
* Provide high-quality academic administrative support to academic staff, sessional staff, and CSU Schools to enable smooth delivery of teaching and learning activities.
* Collaborate closely with the Student Experience Team to support student queries, resolve issues, and contribute to a positive and cohesive student experience.
* Assist with monitoring student progression and flagging any concerns to academic and student experience teams for timely intervention.
* Coordinate communication between sessional teaching staff, academic teams, CSU Schools, and the Student Experience Team to ensure alignment and effective information flow.
* Support onboarding and ongoing engagement of sessional staff by assisting with administrative requirements, policy guidance, and academic processes.
* Ensure academic integrity standards are upheld through accurate documentation, case management, and adherence to institutional processes.
* Contribute to semester preparation activities, including subject setup, timetabling assistance, and coordination of teaching resources.
* Maintain organised records, documentation, and reporting to support operational transparency and continuous improvement across academic and student support functions.
* Work closely with CSU School/Faculty academic and subject teams to align processes and maintain the highest level of compliance.
* Support academic teams to deliver student engagement and progress intiatives.
* Any other duties assigned by Academic Director

Qualifications

* A Bachelor's or higher Degree in Business, Education or English language is preferred.
* Previous experience working in Academic support roles or student academic support environment is desirable.
* Experience in the provision of language and learning support including assessing learning needs and writing skills.
* Demonstrated experience in the development and facilitation of student support environment.
* Knowledge of information management and ability work across academic and student experience teams.
* Familiarity with learning resource management and academic database management.
* Strong computer skills, including knowledge of software applications, internet research techniques, and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment
