* Role: Assistant Director
* Location: Nelson Bay – Postcode 2315 – NSW
* Centre: Goodstart Nelson Bay
* Employment Type: Full-time permanent role
* Pay: $44.64 to $57.00 per hour plus Super
Use your experience in early learning and work alongside our Centre Director to support our centre and team. Competitive pay at least 7% above award, a range of benefits including childcare discount and salary packaging available. Work for Australia's largest early learning Not‐for‐Profit.
Responsibilities
* Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high‐quality early learning and care.
* Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team.
* Be responsible for overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence.
* Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide.
* Establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the local community.
* Advocate for inclusive practices that create a safe and welcoming environment for every family.
* Represent the centre in the community and promote Goodstart values.
* Lead continuous improvement across all aspects of centre operation.
Qualifications
* Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved).
* Previous experience in a leadership role is needed.
* Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one.
* Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services.
* Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage.
* Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management.
