Key Responsibilities
* Accountable to contribute to the development and maintenance of product planning and performance processes in accordance with agreed procedures and performance standards.
* Apply project management methodologies to administrative and technical activities.
* Research, draft and prepare briefs, correspondence and reports including submissions for committee consideration.
* Engage with relevant stakeholders and understand their expectations and concerns.
* Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
* Apply excellent attention to detail and prioritise tasks.
* Demonstrate strong self-initiative and communication skills
* Work successfully as part of a large cohesive team, with industry and with international partners.
About You
* Relevant Tertiary Qualifications: A degree in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, IT, physics, mathematics, logistics, supply chain management, business, or project management. Experience in complex technical environments is valued.
* Experience in Defence or Technical Sustainment: Relevant experience in the Australian Defence Force or related industries in roles like logistics management, product sustainment, asset management, or supporting complex technical systems. Experience with integrated sensor systems, data fusion, or command and control capabilities is beneficial.
* Project Management Skills: A good understanding of project management principles, with experience managing complex projects, ideally in a Defence or technology setting. Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are a plus.
* Defence Contracting Knowledge: Familiarity with government contracting procedures, particularly within a Defence context (e.g., ASDEFCON), and experience managing contracts for integrated systems.
* Resource Management Understanding: A solid grasp of logistics principles, supply chain management, inventory control, and asset lifecycle management across various technologies.
* Must hold a minimum NV1 Security Clearance at time of applying.
