About the role
Mater is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – Private Hospitals to join our Finance team based in Newstead. This exciting permanent, full-time is an opportunity to provide expert financial oversight and strategic analysis across Mater's private hospital portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and long-term sustainability.
* Lead financial modelling and analysis for business cases, strategic investments, mergers, and divestments.
* Provide expert financial support for hospital operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Drive financial efficiency by identifying cost optimisation opportunities and supporting performance improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with clinical, operational, and commercial teams to deliver strategic recommendations.
* Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.
About you
To be successful, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
* CPA/CA qualification (or working towards).
* Proven experience working within a private hospital environment (essential).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior financial analyst role.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience in mergers and acquisitions and private hospital operations (desirable).
