You'll work across a broad range of areas including: Animal management, including the handling of animals and promoting responsible pet ownership Public health and safety Overgrown properties Unauthorised use of Council land and footpath obstructions Other Local Law matters You'll be part of a collaborative team that supports Council's purpose of Growing Townsville, delivering outcomes aligned with our Corporate Plan and community expectations.
What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who: Has a strong understanding of relevant legislation and local laws Can investigate and compile evidence for enforcement and prosecution Is confident working independently and making sound decisions Is comfortable handling domesticated animals and potentially aggressive dogs Communicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person Skilled in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques Working outdoors Is flexible to work after-hours and on a rostered schedule Qualifications
