Overview
Mona, Tasmania’s Museum of Old and New Art, is on the hunt for a Restaurant Manager for Faro in Pharos, named after the Faro of Alexandria, a lighthouse from ancient Greece. Where the rest of the museum is somewhat dark, Pharos is Mona’s ‘lighthouse’ and showcases James Turrell's artworks dealing with light and space.
The restaurant and bar get inspiration from the artworks, touring exhibitions, music, and performances from our extensive Mona Family, and use this to form the food and beverage offerings. All that, delivered with the highest quality of service that was ever seen in a lighthouse.
With sustainability in mind, you will be working alongside some of the country’s best.
The Faro restaurant operates on our museum operational days (Thursday - Monday), both lunches and some dinners, so if you're looking for that one-of-a-kind hospitality management opportunity, this could be it!
