What we're looking for
The Nurse Coordinator plays a pivotal role in providing the highest possible standard of nursing care to patients undergoing assisted reproductive treatments. This includes working within established clinical policies and procedures and following clinicians' instructions while maintaining strict confidentiality and a non-judgmental approach. You will act as the primary patient liaison and advocate, delivering ongoing information, education, support, and reassurance throughout treatment cycles. The role also involves:
* Delivering exceptional customer service to patients and clinicians
* Using initiative to meet patient and doctor needs
* Contributing to team-based work environments and equitable workload sharing
* Maintaining strong communication with nurses, clinical, scientific, and administrative staff
* Participating in research activities and quality management systems
What you'll be doing
* Coordinate and assist with day-to-day infertility and ART treatments
* Provide counselling, emotional support, and pre-conception advice to patients
* Perform venepuncture, transvaginal ultrasound, and inseminations as required
* Educate patients on medication use, injection techniques, and treatment protocols
* Liaise with clinicians, scientific staff, and administration to ensure seamless care
* Manage donor gamete/embryo cycles and theatre bookings for procedures
* Maintain accurate patient records, consent forms, and data entry for treatment cycles
* Participate in patient education programs, research activities, and quality control initiatives
* Uphold Work Health & Safety standards and maintain stock levels in treatment rooms
About you
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife
* Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong time management and decision-making abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Women's health experience is highly regarded
