Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of business leads and introductions to maximise income growth
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of the Business Development teams business strategy
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of calling plans
  • Ensure accurate and up to date MI is consistently kept using internal CRM and reporting systems (Insightly) – high level of focus on ensuring inputting of high quality data on behalf of the Business Development team
  • Compile Insightly reports for weekly/quarterly meetings with respective internal teams
  • Undertake market research to identify areas of opportunity to increase GLAS's market share and new target clients
  • Assist in creating brand recognition and awareness by working closely with product and delivery partners to market the full range of GLAS's products and services
  • Attendance at external loan/DCM market related conferences for market knowledge and networking opportunities, ensuring a write up of key points is undertaken and distributed
  • Review of external market publications disseminating key information across the Business Development team
  • Work closely with Marketing and Business Development teams to create pitch material for Senior Business Development colleagues to present at client meetings
  • Arrange and coordinate client entertainment and networking events
  • Attend/accompany Senior Business Development colleagues to meeting opportunities, ensuring production and distribution of call reports to be undertaken after each client meeting
  • Preparation and delivery of fee proposals on new opportunities; liaise with other Business Development colleagues to ensure consistency in pricing
  • Daily monitor outstanding fee proposals issued, ensuring periodic ups occur
  • Assist in the improvement of the client experience by following a won mandate from inception to close
  • Present regular updates of deal, meeting and proposal activity to the head of APAC Business Development
  • Delivery of accurate MI to Senior Management on a regular basis on the financial performance and key sales metrics
  • Assist in the analysis and reporting on GLAS's Loan and DCM book, looking at deal parties, asset classes, sectors, geographic locations, etc.
  • Highlight / escalated to senior Business Development colleagues key commercial terms of facility documentation following referral from transactional colleagues that require further negotiation
  • Assist in arranging internal approval for any product or service that is not included in the GLAS Terms of Reference (including assisting in preparing presentations to Senior Management at internal committees)
  • Assist in the weekly preparation of recently resulted and open mandates
  • Stakeholder management: build / maintain solid internal and external relationships
  • Work with the existing Business Development Team to assist with transactions or with meetings / presentations
  • Complete C6 (due diligence) checks on potential new deal parties
  • Spend time with key internal stakeholders to gain a good understanding of GLAS's service offering
Experience and Qualifications
  • 1-2+ years of sales and business development experience
  • Good knowledge of the loan and DCM markets
  • Proven record of achieving sales and client calling objectives
  • Knowledge of key sectors in the region & regional transactions
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Collaboratively working with each GLAS Business Unit
  • Self‐motivation and effective time management
