Executive Sous Chef Job

This role oversees the operation of the kitchen(s), ensuring that food preparation, quality, and inventory functions meet hotel standards and revenue goals.

* Develops training plans with the Training Manager and implements training for Food Production employees and other Food and Beverage staff.
* Interacts professionally and positively with department and hotel staff to foster good rapport and promote team spirit.
* Demonstrates cooperation and trust with colleagues, supervisors, teams, and departments to achieve positive results.
* Recruits, selects, and develops Chefs to work in line with operational, financial, and administrative philosophies, while promoting multi-skilling and multitasking.
* Delegates duties and responsibilities to equipped and resourced employees, nurturing their development while maintaining standards of operation and safety.
* Develops and assists with training activities focused on improving skills and knowledge.
* Monitors employee morale and provides mechanisms for performance feedback and development.
* Conducts annual Performance Appraisals providing honest and appropriate feedback.


Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborates with the F&B Manager in preparing and managing the Catering Sales/Operations budget.
* Assists in coordinating the preparation of the banquet sales annual budget.
* Monitors and controls departmental costs to ensure performance against budget.
* Assists in preparing the hotel's strategic plan, goals program.
* Develops popular menus offering guests value for money in accordance with ICHG guidelines.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal customers and guests to exceed their needs.
* Actively addresses guest needs to exceed expectations.


Requirements:

* Degree or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.
* 8 years of experience as a chef, with at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
