Service Stream is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Control Systems Lead. This role will be responsible for leading teams in the maintenance and optimization of control systems used in automation and process control.
* The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and experience with control systems, as well as the ability to pick up differing software and hardware programming and configurations.
* A qualification in engineering, such as an electrical engineering degree or electrical trade certificate, is required.
* Unrestricted electrical license and valid QLD drivers license are also desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead teams to ensure automation and telemetry infrastructure assets are appropriately maintained and operable.
* Work with stakeholders to effectively manage safety, customer, and environmental risks.
* Develop project plans and schedule maintenance tasks to ensure resource allocation and timings are met.
* Manage specialist subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure works meet client-set response times and KPIs.
* Oversee quality control processes and work with team QA functions.
* Lead operational and maintenance design reviews for new control system assets.
* Assist and review development and modification of control system software applications and database management.
* Manage total cost of maintenance budget for all control system works.
* Provide troubleshooting and triage support.
* Work with the cybersecurity and IT team to ensure compliance through vulnerability assessments and other associated IT tasks.
* Provide ongoing data analysis and expert guidance on real-time improvement.
* Provide subject matter expertise to respond to control system enquiries.
* Communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders while representing Urban Utilities' interests.
* Lead the development and use of information and management systems for the delivery of operational activities and programs.
Successful applicants will have highly developed problem-solving, lateral thinking, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, as well as extensive experience in developing instructions and providing technical guidance.
