Join Our Team at Greencross Morwell!

Are you a passionate Veterinarian looking for your next permanent role?

Greencross Morwell, located in beautiful regional Victoria, is excited to welcome a dedicated and compassionate vet to our friendly and supportive team.

What types of cases will you see?

At Greencross Morwell, no 2 days are the same. Working in a regional setting means you'll encounter a wide variety of interesting and unique cases, not just routine vaccinations and desexing procedures.

We offer a fantastic opportunity to grow your expertise in managing complex medical cases and advancing your surgical skills in small animal care. Plus, if you're passionate about wildlife, we'll support you in developing your abilities to treat native species as well.

Who's in the team?

Our team spans a diverse range of age and life experience - from our 20s through to our 50s - and we're proud to foster an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

What's our clinic culture?

At Greencross Morwell, we prioritise the wellbeing and safety of our team. Our clinic is proud to have 2 accredited Mental Health First Aid Officers, and we're committed to maintaining a supportive, inclusive workplace. We celebrate individuality and enforce a strict zero‐tolerance policy against discrimination and abuse to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

While we're a busy clinic, our vets are never alone - we lead the region in team‐based care. Each vet is paired with a dedicated nurse during consultations, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: patient care. Our collaborative model reduces the burden of administrative tasks like data entry, clinical histories, and routine discharges.

We believe in balance and boundaries. Finishing on time is the norm, not the exception.

For newer graduates, we offer structured mentorship and a supportive environment where you're encouraged to grow at your own pace, with experienced colleagues always nearby to lend a hand.

Wondering About Our Facilities?

Absolutely—we've got you covered. Our clinic is fully equipped with modern tools and technology, giving our vets the freedom to practice in a way that suits their individual clinical style, interests, and strengths.

Looking for Flexibility?

You bet we are! Whether you're after full‐time hours, part‐time work, a long weekend, or an early finish to pick up the kids—we're here to make it work. We understand that life happens outside of the clinic, and we're committed to supporting a healthy work‐life balance for every team member.

Wondering About Pay?

Let's be clear—we don't pay award rates. We pay well above them, in line with (and often exceeding) industry standards. Our salary range is $130,000 to $140,000 for an exceptional veterinarian with at least 4 years of clinical experience. This reflects the genuine value we place on your expertise and dedication. If you know your worth, we're ready to recognise it.

Yes, we are! And that comes with real advantages: strong support systems, excellent working conditions, and access to broader resources.

That said, clinical autonomy is at the heart of how we operate. Day‐to‐day decisions in our clinic are made by our team. Need a specific medication? No problem - as long as it's clinically justified, we trust your judgment. Prefer a particular technique? Go for it. We recognise that you're a skilled professional, and we respect your expertise and integrity.
