Randstad is assisting a Queensland Government department in recruiting a highly motivated Contracts Manager - Systems and Tech to join their ever-evolving team based in Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency across the following key areas:
* Tendering & Contract Management: Extensive experience across the full lifecycle of contract activities for complex Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) projects within large and complex organisations.
* Negotiation: Well-developed and proven strong negotiation skills in major agreements, with the ability to effectively balance price, quality, and relationship trade-offs with suppliers.
* Legal Acumen: A demonstrated understanding of contract law, including significant exposure to ICT contracts.
* Stakeholder Management: High-level communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with expereince in managing relationships at senior levels and driving beneficial process changes.
* Systems Knowledge: A solid understanding of contract management procedures and practical experience with SAP Ariba system requirements, including the ability to assist and support end-user teams.
About You
To be successful in this pivotal role, you will possess:
* Proven experience in managing end-to-end procurement processes, preferably within a government or large, complex organisation.
* A strong understanding of Queensland Government procurement policies and procedures.
* The demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
* Excellent negotiation, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Mandatory full working rights in Australia.
* Demonstrable and extensive experience with Queensland Government procurement, particularly within the ICT sector.
* Familiarity and practical experience with QICT frameworks (specifically GITC contracts).
