Casual Animal Facility Management Officer
As an important member of the team, the Casual Animal Management Facility (AMF) Officer works both autonomously and collaboratively with our Ranger Services team to support the overall operation of the Animal Management Facility; with a focus on animal welfare and customer service to visitors at the facility.
Key accountabilities
* Support the day-to-day running of the City's Animal Management Facility inclusive of cleaning and maintenance to ensure effective management of all impounded animals, associated goods and vehicles.
* Work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment in the absence of direct supervision.
* Maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information related to impounded animals, facility operations, and customer interactions.
* Maintain kennels and assist with basic animal husbandry including feeding, cleaning and sanitising kennels, runs and equipment.

Position requirements
* The successful applicant should have a genuine interest in animal care and experience in animal husbandry. They will demonstrate initiative and be able to follow directions while gradually building confidence to work independently. Basic computer and customer service skills with the ability to learn processes such as payment handling and managing customer information are required.
* Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits
* The Casual AMF Officer position has a salary starting from $26.3447 - $34.6518 per hour plus 25% casual loading offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
* Up to 21% Superannuation (with superannuation co-contribution scheme)
