Job Opportunity
We are seeking a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our water and gas utility infrastructure projects throughout Northeastern Ohio.
This role is ideal for an early to mid-career engineer with a strong background in utilities, who enjoys overseeing projects, working with municipalities, and driving field work forward.
About the Role
* The successful candidate will oversee and support utility infrastructure projects involving water and gas line replacements, upgrades, and new development support
* They will coordinate and manage the permitting process and municipal procedures
* As a liaison between clients, municipalities, and internal teams, they will ensure project continuity
* The engineer will conduct site visits within the region (local travel only) to monitor project progress
* They will collaborate with design teams and review engineering packages (AutoCAD familiarity preferred)
* The candidate will track project timelines, budgets, and client expectations
* Support basic capital improvement projects related to new housing and commercial developments
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
* 2–6 years of experience in water, gas, or electric utility projects
* Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and basic project management principles
* AutoCAD experience preferred (not a heavy design role)
* Strong communication skills, especially in client and municipal coordination
* Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Boardman, OH area (local/regional travel required)
