Key Financial Leadership Role
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Accountant to lead our financial reporting processes. This is a key leadership role within our organization, responsible for driving high-quality financial outcomes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial reports, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger management.
* Financial Efficiency: Collaborate across teams to identify and implement financial efficiencies and process improvements, enhancing overall financial performance.
* Audit Support: Liaise with internal and external auditors, prepare audit documentation, and respond to queries to ensure smooth audit processes.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
* Financial Controls: Maintain robust financial controls and ensure data integrity across financial systems to mitigate risk.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* CPA or CA qualified (or working towards – strongly preferred).
* Demonstrated experience in State Government is essential.
* Proven ability to manage complex financial processes and produce compliant financial statements.
* Experience working with auditors and leading audit preparation.
