We have an opportunity for a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Executive for Stockfeed and Animal Nutrition products to join the Team.
About the role
Reporting to the Group Manager for Life Sciences, Industrial and New Zealand, you will be responsible for meeting both sales and profit targets within your territory through relationship-based selling. You will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth across existing and new customers. You will also be responsible for assisting with product sourcing and costings, inventory management and customer analysis to support business growth.
Main Responsibilities

11. Engage in sales and marketing duties to existing customers within the Stockfeed and Animal Nutrition sectors
12. Meet / exceed allocated sales and profit margin budgets for your particular customer portfolio over the designated budget period and achieve cost reductions wherever possible
13. Build customer relationships to increase share of existing customer business and win new customers for your portfolio
14. Promote existing range of products to customer base and work to develop and introduce additional products to our range
15. Make regular contact with customers (face-to-face, phone, email etc.) and provide progress reports on an ongoing basis
16. Undertake travel when and where needed to engage customers face-to-face
Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
17. Industry / Market knowledge in the stockfeed / animal nutrition industry, including customers, products and regulatory requirements
18. Minimum three years’ sales experience, preferably in the stockfeed / animal nutrition industry.
19. Food additives knowledge and sales experience preferable
20. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
21. An analytical and commercial mindset together with a proactive customer service attitude
22. Strong attention to detail, efficient time management and the ability to work independently as well as successfully with others
23. A “can do” attitude, high energy and willingness to take on new challenges and solve problems
24. Strong IT skills (ERP systems, Microsoft Office)
25. Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Science or Business a plus
