About the Role We are currently expanding our Residential Youth Support Worker team and will be recruiting in the Geelong area. This will be a great position for someone that wants to make a change in Children and Young Person's lives. A genuinely rewarding Permanent Part-Time or Casual role, with most time spent in the house or participating in recreational activities. You will be working directly with children and young people; The positions are based in a 24/7 Residential Setting with fortnightly rotating shift rosters. Suitable applicants will be asked to attend an Information Session and Interview, held in-person, on Thursday 18 th September 2025 at the Life Without Barriers, Geelong Office. Information Session 9:30am - 11:00am / 1:1 Interviews between 11:00am - 3:30pm. Key Responsibilities Provide day to day care, supervision and transport to children and young people Actively participate in activities and increase competencies of young people Form and maintain professional, nurturing relationships Develop, implement and monitor individual plans Actively support the child/young person to develop and maintain social skills Maintenance of progress notes and report writing Skills & Experience Certificate 4 in Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health, or similar is preferred A current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to complete prior to commencement A current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence Ability to work various shifts (sleepover & active nights) throughout the week Prior knowledge and/or experience working with children or young people Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Vulnerable People check Benefits Work for one of Australia's largest social purpose organisations Life Without Barriers offers ongoing training, support and career advancement opportunities Flexible working hours How to Apply Include your resume and cover letter in one document, click ‘Apply’ and follow the prompts.
