Training and Development Specialist

This role involves supporting the delivery of advanced training services to defence clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in military or related fields, with a strong background in leadership, coaching, and mentoring. They will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, receiving and directing delivery requirements, and providing support to exercise designers and planners. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this position.

About the Role

">
* Manage administrative requirements for training deployment.
* Receive, prioritise and direct delivery requirements in support of defence activities.
* Support uniformed CTC exercise designers and planners meet task outputs as required by changes in Army priorities or short-notice operational contingencies.
* Support exercise execution where required in a coaching, HICON or planning capacity.
* Arrange and attend meetings with defence officials as required.
* Prepare and submit progress reports to higher management and to defence officials when required.
* Provide direction and assist in the writing and sequencing of exercise events, incidents and injects.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

* A minimum of 15 years' experience in military or related fields.
* Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Must possess broad-based computer skills, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Skilled at team building and consensus building.
* Pro-active leader who is decisive and action-oriented.

* Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team to achieve directed results.
* Ability to work as part of a team and to manage a team to ensure high performance.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* High levels of customer support and service delivery.

* Self-motivated.
* Flexibility to travel when required, including occasional availability outside of regular working hours to respond to critical issues or business needs.
