Our partners include large corporates and educational institutions that rely on us to provide seamless, high-standard operations and support that align with their sustainability objectives.We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Urban Farming Technician & Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role blends education, aquaponics, customer support, and technical maintenance. You will help us deliver exceptional urban farming experiences and maintain our high-performance indoor ecosystems across corporate environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Delivery: Facilitate educational workshops, incursions, and corporate sessions to introduce urban farming, sustainability, and the Farmwall Ecosystem & Microtrack platforms.Installation & Maintenance: Set up and maintain Farmwall units and Farmwall Pockets at client locations, ensuring smooth operations and healthy growth green environments.Plant & Aquarium Care: Monitor and manage plant health and aquarium systems using your horticultural and aquatics knowledge.Adaptable Engagement: Effectively communicate with diverse audiences, while tailoring your approach to each environment.Customer Support & Troubleshooting: Provide support for teachers in maintaining their Farmwall Pockets, offering guidance, solutions, and follow-up as needed.Event Assistance: Support Farmwall events, helping with setup and participant engagement to foster deeper understanding of sustainable food systems.About YouHorticulture/Aquatics Background: Should you hold a degree or have equivalent experience in horticulture, botany, aquaponics, or aquarium care will be highly valuable.Adaptable Communicator: You’re approachable and skilled at engaging with corporate professionals, able to adjust your communication style as needed; while engaging, with strong skills in explaining concepts and connecting with diverse audiences.Sustainability Advocate: You’re passionate about urban farming and committed to sustainability education.Hands-On & Analytical: You're a quick thinker and natural problem solver who thrives under pressure and feels confident in troubleshooting installations.Physically Capable: Comfortable with light manual work, including lifting and transporting equipment and installations.Professional & Reliable: You understand the expectations of high-level corporate clients and pride yourself on delivering excellent service.QualificationsDegree in Horticulture, Environmental Science, Botany, or demonstrated experience in plant and aquarium care.Proven experience in facilitation, workshops, or community engagement roles.Technical knowledge of indoor plant systems, aquaponics, and ecosystem maintenance.Valid driver’s license required preferably manual due to travel to different client sites.Why Join Us?At Farmwall, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven team that’s changing how cities think about food, sustainability, and wellbeing.
