About the project
DCOH has been engaged to deliver the proposed new Civic Centre project, a transformative $150 million development designed to reflect Darwin's cultural heritage and meet its growing needs.

The $150 million civic centre project offers significant opportunities for hands-on experience in delivering a 21 storey premium PCA A Grade commercial building right in the heart of the city.

The project encompasses a variety of functional spaces, including customer services, council chambers, office areas, and a public plaza, alongside operational elements like carparking and building infrastructure.

WHO YOU ARE
You’re an experienced construction leader who thrives in fast-paced site environments. You know how to drive programme, manage subcontractors, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality—every single day.
* Qualified in Building, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
* Skilled in project sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and live site operations
* Confident in navigating contract terms, safety legislation, and compliance protocols
* Able to lead with clarity, mentor junior staff, and resolve issues in real-time
* Proficient in site and project management tools such as Hammertech, Aconex, and MS Project
* Highly organised, decisive, and calm under pressure
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As Site Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering large-scale construction projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality.
* Oversee daily site operations, ensuring safe and coordinated execution of all works
* Lead site-based delivery in line with programme, budget, and contract obligations
* Monitor progress, mitigate delivery risks, and address delays or sequencing issues
* Enforce HSEQ standards on site and maintain compliance with all statutory requirements
* Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to meet project milestones
* Maintain accurate site records, delivery logs, RFIs, and version-controlled documentation
* Evaluate subcontractor performance, manage claims and variations, and support contract administration
* Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
* Represent DCOH professionally in all dealings with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders
