Desktop Support Engineer We are partnering exclusively with a retail organisation on a 6-12-month contract with potential to extend. You'll be based at the head office, providing IT support across both head office and stores. This Monday-Friday in office role offers the opportunity to grow into managing projects and BAU independently. We're looking for someone with strong communication skills, professional presentation, and a genuine interest in building a long-term career with the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, POS systems, barcode scanners, receipt printers, and EFTPOS terminals. Support Windows 7 and 10 environments. Manage Office 365 including user accounts, password resets, licenses, SharePoint, and Teams. Handle permissions and access through Active Directory or similar tools. Perform basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi and VPN configurations. Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 support or vendors when needed. Log and track support requests using a ticketing system to meet SLA requirements. Support mobile devices including tablets and handheld scanners. Train store employees on IT processes and system usage. Perform routine system checks and software updates to keep POS and applications operational. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for hardware replacements and escalations.
