About the Role
We're looking for a Commissioning Engineer to support the safe and effective commissioning of key projects. You will be responsible for carrying out commissioning activities, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and handed over to the required standards of performance and compliance. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to planning, testing, and documentation throughout the commissioning phase.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver commissioning activities in line with project programmes and procedures.
* Assist in developing and implementing commissioning plans, test documentation, and handover packs.
* Carry out functional and performance testing to verify systems meet design intent and specifications.
* Work closely with clients, design engineers, and construction teams to resolve technical issues.
* Record test results, maintain accurate site documentation, and support the preparation of commissioning reports.
* Identify and elevate risks, defects, and non‑conformances in a timely manner.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with PSD Energy's safety, quality, and compliance standards.
About You
* Degree or HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Experience delivering or supporting commissioning activities on power, utilities, industrial, or building services projects.
* Good understanding of commissioning procedures, safety systems, and QA processes.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and project teams.
* Analytical mindset with good problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach on site.
