The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Manager plays a central role in managing the company's financial performance and enabling sound, data-driven decision-making. You'll bring structure, rigour and insight to a high-performing business entering its next phase of national growth.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting, reporting and financial operations across three distinct business units.
Deliver timely management reporting, cashflow forecasting and performance insights.
Partner with the General Manager and department leads to plan, track and optimise results.
Manage budgeting, project cost control, and profitability analysis.
Supervise payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance obligations.
Lead enhancement of financial systems, processes and automation improvements
About You
You're commercially minded, detail-driven and confident operating in a dynamic environment. You understand how finance underpins operational excellence and enjoy being close to the action, not behind a spreadsheet wall.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (CA/CPA qualified preferred).
5+ years' experience in a finance leadership or management accounting role.
Proven ability to build systems, streamline processes and deliver actionable insight.
Strong Excel and cloud accounting platform skills (e.g. Xero, MYOB Advanced, or similar).
Exposure to construction, engineering or manufacturing industries advantageous.
Clear communicator with the confidence to engage directly with senior leaders
