The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is a national organisation responsible for investing in world-class Research Development and Extension to support the profitability and sustainability of Australian grain growers.

Are you ready to lead strategic regional engagement and drive impactful research outcomes in the grains industry? We are seeking a Senior Regional Manager – South to join our team in Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to represent GRDC in the southern region and shape the future of agricultural innovation.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the GM Applied Research Development and Extension, the Senior Regional Manager – South will be responsible for ensuring constructive and effective relationships between GRDC and both its research partners and the broader grains industry in the southern region. You will lead a high-performing team, support regional investment panels, and oversee grower and stakeholder engagement to deliver on GRDC's purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Act as GRDC's senior representative in the southern region, fostering productive relationships with research partners and stakeholders.

Lead the regional team and ensure effective delivery of the National Grower Network (NGN) program.

Provide strategic advice on RD&E capacity, capability, and impact in the region.

Support the regional panel and contribute to national strategic initiatives.

Oversee regional office operations, including financial management, WHS, and infrastructure.

Lead procurement, contract, and project management activities to ensure delivery excellence.

Drive continuous improvement and contribute to corporate strategy and initiatives.

About you

Degree in Agricultural Science, Agribusiness or equivalent.

Experienced leader with deep knowledge and passion for the Australian grains industry.

Proven ability to build and leverage networks across agriculture and research sectors.

Strong judgement and decision-making skills in complex stakeholder environments.

Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic brokering, and team leadership.

Commercial acumen and strategic thinking to align regional initiatives with corporate goals.

Strong analytical, communication, and operational management skills.

Demonstrated commitment to professional development.

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.

Mandatory Requirements

Valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Willingness to travel as required.

Ability to undergo a Pre-employment Medical.
