NDIS support worker - Mandurah and Surroundings
We are seeking energetic, passionate, and highly committed individuals to be part of our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for helping individuals living with a disability to participate and engage in social and community activities. You will be supporting NDIS participants with empathy, humanity, and care.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide support to participants in line with the AASTHA social model of recovery.
Offer support and assist participants to engage in all lifestyle activities of their choice and meet daily living needs, and attain better social participation in their community.
Provide short-term focused interventions, education, support, and mentoring to participants.
Support and assist participants to achieve their goals and needs in relation to the approved NDIS plan.
Deliver high quality, person-centred services to meet the needs of participants.
Provide weekday and Saturday support as required by participants.
Qualifications and Skills
To be eligible for this position, you must:
Certificate III or relevant experience.
Have a full WA Driver's License.
Current Working With Children Check.
Current National Police Check.
NDIS Screening Check.
Own your own car and have full comprehensive roadworthy vehicle insurance.
Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the Disability Sector.
Ability to manage a caseload autonomously.
Ability to organise your timetable/roster and meet deadlines/appointments.
Ability to write case notes articulately, clearly, and concisely.
