Role Overview:
As a Painter, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on a variety of surfaces, both inside and out. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding and repairing imperfections to ensure a smooth base.
* Protecting adjacent areas using masking materials and drop sheets.
* Mixing and matching paints, stains and coatings to achieve the desired finish.
* Applying paint, varnish and specialty finishes using a range of tools and techniques.
* Refining surfaces between coats to maintain a consistent, professional appearance.
* Working with clients or supervisors to finalise colour selections and finishes.
* Checking completed work for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
* Keeping painting tools and equipment clean and in good condition.
* Following safety procedures at all times.
* Collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to ensure timely project delivery.
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
* Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in residential and commercial painting.
* Knowledge of surface preparation, paint types and application techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
* Skilled in the use of brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting tools.
* Attention to detail and quality.
* White Card.
* Driver's Licence.
* Work Safely at Heights.
* National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
