Our client, a large and exciting FMCG comapny is seeking a FITTER FOR AFTERNOONS for its maintenance crew in the northern suburbs.
This is a full-time/permanent role with the client direct.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of production by maintaining, repairing, and installing plant equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of plant equipment using the following techniques:
* o Metal arc welding
* o Gas metal arc welding
* o Fitting and turning
* Promptly diagnose, trouble shoot and repair equipment when advised of a breakdown.
* Proactively monitor equipment and carry out plant inspections looking for signs of potential problems.
* Assist with breakdowns
* Suggesting and implementing improves to systems to enhance efficiency, reliability and safety.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVE:
* Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade) or 2+ years' experience within the FMCG industry,
* Experience in a similar role;
* An understanding of HACCP requirements;
* Welding experience
* Experience within a Food processing/industrial/manufacturing environment.
