We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant / Dental Nurse to join our client's dynamic team in Varsity Lakes. In this role, you will support the dentists and patients in delivering high-quality dental care, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for their patients.
We look for someone available to start immediately and who can initially work 2 days per week, increasing to 4 days per week. You will need flexibility for a rotating fortnightly roster. The role requires:
* Availability on Mondays until 6:15 pm is essential.
* Saturday availability is required (half‐day).
* Additional shifts may be available during the week depending on clinic needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist dental practitioners during various procedures and prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to patient arrival.
* Provide chair‐side assistance, ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
* Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
* Manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
* Educate patients on post‐treatment care and oral hygiene practices.
Skills and Experiences
* Experience in dental assisting or dental nursing (preferred but not essential).
* Experience in a clinical working environment (desirable but not essential).
* High level of attention to detail.
* Flexibility, reliability and punctuality.
* Respectful, positive attitude, willing to learn and take instructions or feedback well.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong administrative skills.
