The Role
As a key player in BMS Controls, our client is seeking an ambitious Sales & Estimating Lead – BMS Controls to join their Queensland team. This pivotal position places you at the forefront of estimating activities nationwide, beginning with service and retrofit projects and expanding into major developments. Around 80% of your time will be dedicated to estimating, while also strategically building the foundation for future sales growth. This is an opportunity to shape outcomes, influence project success, and contribute to the ongoing expansion of a market leader.
Key Responsibilities
Manage estimates, submissions, and client quote registers
Prepare RFPs and contractor documentation
Coordinate and follow up with subcontractors
Review drawings against specifications
Support site walkthroughs
Prepare tailored product and project submissions
Sales Engineering
Perform equipment take-offs and compile points lists
Select equipment and flag specification needs
Produce pricing documentation, diagrams, and markups
Create handover points lists and markups
Assist with pre-reads and system dilapidation
Support preparation of dilapidation documentation
About You
We're looking for a candidate who brings:
Strong estimating experience within BMS controls or related building services
A detail-oriented approach with excellent organisational skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
A proactive mindset with the ability to support both estimating and sales functions
Bonus skills (highly regarded but not essential)
Advanced experience in sales engineering and pre-engineering activities
Familiarity with complex retrofit or major project estimating
