* Permanent Full-Time, Part-time or Casual Job Opportunities Available – up to 38 hours per week
* Attractive weekly salary ranging from $1,317.80 up to $1, permanent work). Casuals receive $43.35 up to $53.78 per hour (Including 25% leave loading).

At Moree Plains Shire Council, we are looking for a passionate, attentive, and strong leader to join our team as a Group Leader at Mungindi Day Care and Preschool. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Early Childhood Teacher, you will lead the provision of education and care within a designated room. This role is essential for creating supportive environments and building strong partnerships with families to ensure every child's learning and cultural needs are met.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading high-quality care in accordance with National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
* Implementing educational programs that reflect the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and children's emerging skills.
* Applying intentional teaching strategies to shape children's interests and make their learning visible.
* Mentoring and supporting educators and placement students, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
* Maintaining respectful relationships with children, supporting their emotional development and encouraging self-regulation.
* Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment, including adequate supervision, administering first aid, and monitoring dietary requirements.
* Promoting record-keeping excellence for child assessments, injury reports, and medication forms.
* Advocating for child protection as a mandated reporter to safeguard the well-being of all children.

You are a calm and composed professional with excellent interpersonal skills. You have a proven ability to develop creative programmes and can provide delicate feedback to families and team members with professionalism and confidentiality.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or currently working towards it) and experience with children aged 8 weeks to 5 years.
* Great supervisory skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational skills to effectively evaluate and record children's development.
* Working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant Child Safety regulations.
* Proven ability to develop stimulating programmes tailored to varied interests.
Required Tickets, Licences and/or Qualifications:
* Must be 18 years of age or older with a Year 12 Certificate or equivalent.
* Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management).
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience working in a Group Leader role in an early childcare environment.
* Current Class C Drivers Licence (NSW).
Required Clearances and Checks:
* Working with Children Check (NSW).
* National Criminal History Check.
* Pre-employment medical, which may include drug and alcohol testing.
* Evidence of required vaccinations/immunisations (e.g., Whooping Cough, MMR, Hepatitis A).
